Red Steel

By Jack Pfeiffer

I had high expectations for Red Steel but it didn’t live up to that at all. While, yes the premise is entertaining (who wouldn’t want to shoot and slash enemies up with a wii remote in first person), the game did not deliver. Buggy game-play and awkward controls serve to keep a player out of the action rather than in it. Adding to the frustration is the lack of character control and unrealistic graphics.

While, yes, the idea is great, the game showed little follow-through from its designers. What were they thinking? Probably that players like me would buy the game anyway.

Rent this. Don’t buy it. In my opinion, its not worth your time or dime.
