Nyko Wireless Sensor Bar
By Jack Pfeiffer
You have got to be kidding me!
Nyko recently released a wireless sensor bar for the Wii. DON’T BUY IT!!
At first glance, this new accessory may seem like a good addition to your Wii, but it’s not. Nyko says that it can be used if you have a complex wiring setup. Think about this for a second. The cord that comes with your FREE sensor bar is just as long, if not longer, than the AV composite cable (the chord that connects your Wii to your TV) meaning you shouldn’t have any problems mounting your sensor bar wherever you want to. So why fix what ain’t broke, as they say.
Also, if you’ve been paying close attention, you ALREADY have to have a chord from your Wii to your TV to make it operational. To make things less exciting, the Nyko is wireless. This may seem counter-intuitive, but, speaking from experience, I know that wireless is slower than wired. Since you already have to have your wii connected (with a chord) to your TV, why opt for a slower response time from your sensor bar?
I give it 2 out of 5.
The Nyko wireless sensor bar is just not necessary.
