Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz

I was pleasantly surprised when Monkey Ball, the game I’ve been playing for ages on my cell phone, came out for the wii. I was further surprised when I learned that it’s even better on the full screen. Not only does the game take full advantage of the wii remote in the single player mode, but it comes packed with plenty of fun multiplayer games. The single player game is rewarding on its own, although I would have preferred it play out longer. Multiplayer ratchets up the fun appreciably. Have friends over. Get the wii out. You do have friends, don’t you?

My two grievances with the game, although small, are:

• The camera control, as in other games, could use some improvement.
• Some of the multiplayer games are just so-so, but hey, there’s always a first place and a last. Sort of expected when there are 50 of them!

Overall, Monkey Ball is a definite buy!
